We at Dawson-Bryant Local Schools understand the
difficulties our parents and students may encounter while classes are
suspended.
In an effort to lessen the hardships and help our parents provide for their children, we will be offering grab-and-go breakfast and sack lunches to our students during this time beginning Wednesday, March 18.
These meals are available at no charge to any child 18 years
of age or younger, regardless of income or if they attend school.
Meals will be available for pick-up at the High School Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children must be present when meals are picked up.
If you are unable to pick up the meals, our transportation
department will be delivering meals Monday through Friday. At this time, we cannot give exact delivery
times, however, buses will leave the High School at approximately 10:30 a.m. to
begin their routes. According to USDA
Guidelines, there must be someone present at the home to meet the bus when the
meals are delivered.
If you would like to receive these meals for your children,
please call the Dawson-Bryant Board of Education Office at 740-532-6451 or
740-533-6001 on Tuesday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
We are very proud of our teachers, cooks, bus drivers and
other staff members that are volunteering their time and effort to ensure that
our children continue to receive healthy meals while this school closure is in
effect.
