Honors English 12 Project
Students from Ms. Musick's Honors English 12 class presented their non-fiction book projects on Oct. 2nd for the book entitled All But My Life. In this book, Holocaust survivor, Gerda Weissmann Klein recounts her three-year ordeal as a slave laborer for the Nazis and her liberation by American soldiers in May of 1945. Students in Ms. Musick's class were required to create a tri-fold book report/critique along with a "creative representation" of the book. They also symbolized Gerda's boots which helped her to survive a death march by bringing in their own boots filled with personal pictures just as Gerda did. Overall, the students respectfully represented the plight of an ordinary person facing the atrocities of the Holocaust.
