POSITION OPENINGS:   The Dawson-Bryant Board of Education is accepting applications for the full-time position of School Safety and Security Director for the 2023-2024 school year.  Applicants must have and maintain a valid certification as a Peace Officer in Ohio that enables the individual to carry a gun in a school safety zone, have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), have and maintain a valid first aid and CPR certification, and have and maintain a valid driver’s license.  Applicants must also have relevant experience in law enforcement and/or school safety and security. School Resource Officer (SRO) training and experience highly preferred.  Position will have competitive pay, excellent benefit package, and great work hours in a fun and energetic environment.

The Board is also accepting applications for the following full-time position of Administrative Assistant for the 2023-2024 school year:

Reports to:     Superintendent
 
General Description:     
Complete a wide variety of secretarial/clerical work to provide organizational support and effective operation of the District.
 
Qualifications:
  1. Associate’s Degree or Five Years experience preferred
  2. Successful experience in a business office and/or school office environment
  3. Excellent keyboarding and general office skills
  4. Proficient in computer skills and knowledge of applications, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  5. Excellent telecommunication and organizational skills
  6. Able to work successfully with students, teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, and the community
 
Essential Functions:  
  1. Provide organizational/secretarial/clerical support services in accordance with District policies and administrative guidelines, Operating Standards for Ohio Schools, and the provisions of State and Federal law
  2. Maintain confidential information, records, and files as required
  3. Answer telephones, greet visitors, and expedite questions and requests in a courteous and diplomatic manner
  4. Prepare reports, recommendations and input for Board reports and agendas as requested/assigned
  5. Maintain records as required by law, District policy, and administrative guidelines
